Hi everyone,

Well thanks to the information on this forum i was swayed away from buying a civic type r and I am picking up my facelift t sport on friday.

Its a 54 reg in alcace grey and I have been looking for a while at different corollas and i havent seen the interior in any of the other cars around, its got leather and alcantara which i beleive is fitted in the new celica GT's and i must say it is very nice a quite rare so im happy as it has got so much more equipment compared to a civic.

No doubt i will have loads of questions when i get it to fiddle with it but just thought I would say hi and thanks for converting me from the DARK SIDE.

Dave

you lucky bugger - alcantara and leather, very nice! mine only got leather. really like the seats in the gt, didnt know they put them in the tsport. any pics? are the back seats the same? i thought lift was the dark side!!

I no i think it has been quite a find as its only one owner and also got the parking sensors fitted aswell. The rear seats are the same, it does look really nice inside to be fair. I havent got any pics at the moment sorry.

ye fair point i think lift can be called the dark side. I must say i havent experienced lift yet as when i took it for a test drive i only just manged to get up to 6000 rpm as traffic was bad but im sure it will be very enjoyable when i do experience it.

i used mine on the test drive - salesman shat himself! when he realised i was ok he was well up for it and evan asked me to drop it!! i had the misses is the back so he had to be one of the lads

managed to find this link of the seats in the celica gt which are in my cts incase no one has seen them before

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/largepi...mp;model=celica

are your seats emboised? if i remember right the celicas had "GT" emboised in them - just wondering if the celica front and rear seats fit in a corolla

Yes the celica GT's have GT embosed on them but mine are embosed with "T Sport". I think the front seats are the same as the celica front seats but i dont think the rear seats are the same shape so they must just be covered in the same material but all of the door cards are alcantara aswell.

them are very nice seats, looks like the first owner of your corolla splashed out on a few upgrades, nice find fella :)

is that pic your t sport ? just wondering as the doors seem to have the red stitching with leather i assume (cant realy see very good) just asking this as my'n doesnt have this i have the carbon effect on my door. edit : just realised its the celica lol ! :)

i too was stuck between the type r and the t sport, we will save a lot more money on insurence and petrol :)

I think realistically the civic is a faster car overall but i think in terms of the equiptment you get in the corolla and the fact i have managed to pick a 54 reg up wiv 30,000 miles for the same price as a 02 ctr wiv no aircon an more miles etc the corolla wins hands down but of course we are all going to be a bit biased on here.

same reason i got one - i'm a bit brand loyal so when the t sport came out made up. really like the type r but like the comfort of the cts and more car for the money and not so obvious.

I need something a bit less obvious at the moment i've got a red celica gen 7 and the police just love to follow me an pull me in it for no reason so hopefully the corolla wont stand out as much.

Does anyone know how to change the computer so it gives you the mpg in mph rather than kmh as it seemed to be set to that.

ye - push the mode.ent/audio control knob until it displays kph - then turn the mode.ent knob until it displays mph. police look at rolla tsport 2 - first time i've been pulled in about 8 years!!

thats where i've been going wrong its not the cars its me lookin like a chav lol.

Mine should be having a full service, mot an a few chips done, also changing any of tyres or brakes that need changing so shouldnt have to do anything for 12 months all being well.

is it the pre-facelift your talking? as far as i'm aware it was the pre-facelift that had just leather and these were availible when the facelift came out. I'm not too sure though as i've seen Compressors with full leather.
