7th Is The Last Gen Celica?

This is what I read in celica.org forum

"page 30 Motor Trend. Scion is getting the Caldina and we're not getting the 2005 Celica.

Toyota will end its North American import of its Celica when the next generation sport coupe launches for model year 2005 or 2006..."

The car will be replaced, sort of, by a version of the JDM Caldina, badged as a Scion..."

Have you heard something? Some people say that this is the last

generation of celica. Could that be true?

Toyota has not announced any plans to discontinue the Celica. Toyota normally does not release any information on future models until very close to the launch date of a model.

Hello, I have been thinking about purchasing a Celica, but I have heard many rumors that the Celica will be discontinued in North America in 2005. I was just wondering if this is true? I really did want a celica due to it's looks (best looking car under $40,000) and handling. Thanks for your time, Brandon
