Avensis Accelerator Pedal Stiff In The Mornings

hi guys

for the last 2 months, ive noticed that my accelerator pedal is stiff in the mornings.

when i get in to start the car, i have to press hard on the accelerator pedal to "release" it, once i do, the accelerator is perfect, moves freely and works fine for the whole day.

this only happens in the mornings

any have idea what is causing this and what the solution is?

thanks

i am sure the 1998 avensis were cable throttles,

I would look at greasing the throttle cable.

and.. greating the throttle spring.

with not grease, but pentrating fluid..

The valve where the acceleratorcable is hooked on for the air to come in the engine is DIRTY clean it and its over cause the valve has to come OVER the DIRT in the morning cause its coold down

sorry for my bad english

You can take it of just unscrew the 4 bolts and clean it with BrakeCleaner Thats a spray , spray it in and afther a few minutes cleaned with a clean cloth
