How Do U Clean Your Car Mats ?

as title says really. cleaned and hoovered inside of my car today and didnt know how to wash my t sport car mats.

i hoovered them but they are still mucky, came to the idea that they cant be put in washer lol :) is soap water and a scrubing brush the best idea ?

talking of car mats i washed mine the other day,filled the bath with hot water and used some vax carpet shampoo came up as good as new just take ages to dry!!!! hope thats a help

i bought soem alloy wheel cleaner the other day from Halfords and put it on the back seat carpet, i found the bottle next day completly emptied onto the carpet!

when this dried out it actually had impressive results lol

autoglym interior shampoo is a good bet 5.00 a bottle from Halfords

ahhh, i have the autoglym car shampoo for washing outside of the car, seems alryte so i will buy some of the interior too :)

Hi guys I used to work at a lexus dealer in Bolton and it was normal for the valeting lads to use the steam cleaner

on the mats on a low heat setting the detergent was tfr (traffic film remover) hope this helps.

What i usually do and have done with all my cars is have a rubber matt ontop of the carpet matt. So double the protection.

I wash the rubber matts once a week then spray them with vynl polish so they gleam and stay looking brand new. I've never had to shampoo any of my carpet matts or the cars carpet liner. They look factory fresh. :)

Meguiars All purpose cleaner sprayed on left to soak for a while and power washed off. Good as new :)

use autoglym interior shampoo - tbh doesnt matter what fabric cleaner you use. i find them cans with the lil brush on pretty good too. but do you notice how quickly after you have cleaned fabric it gets dirty again? after cleaning and allowing to dry treat the mats with scotch guard - stay clean longer and they come up better when you hoover them.
