Avensis 1.8se (2000)

Just collected my 2000 1.8SE Avensis (Pre-facelift, Pre-VVTI) from a repairers. Wife drove into a dog and the bonnet was replaced.

I've notived that some of the trim is missing...unless my mind is playing tricks.

On the front lip of the metalwork I recall there being a rubber seal which bridges the gap between the headlights and radiator grill. (There is also a full-width seal further back onto the slam-panel - but that one is present.)

However the car now only has seals over the headlights?????

Could someone with the same maodel please check their car and confirm that I'm not imagining the seal which sits between the bonnet and grill!!

hi mate,

i have a couple of toyota avensis's as i am a trader and buy and sell these cars for a living. you are 100% correct about the car having a seal touching the top of the grille as well as the headlights.
