hi all, does anyone know if there are any breather pipes on the auto gearbox or the diffs that i should snorkel up before wading through deep fords or floods,i have put a picture of me going through a ford a on a part of our local fosseway byway and all seems ok ,i know that engine air intake is above the left headlight, but i have worried since last week when i went through the ford that water may have got in somewhere else, any info welcome.thanks.

as i have replaced gearbox's on previous cars i wonder if the fill piont on the box for the gearbox fluid has not been replaced its only a small seal

but i suppose if missing would fill and possibly dilute the gear oil and cause it to run quieter as per your other post
