Hilux Warning Light On - Not Sure What It Means

Can anyone advise me what the orange light next to the fuel level indicator means. It has been flickering on while driving my 94 2.4d Hilux. I am sure it is not just a low fuel level warning light because it comes on with half a tank in or more! It is identical to the oil pressure light except its orange, not red.

Not too sure on the older Hilux but is it the water indicator for the fuel? You may need to drain off the excess water from the filter.
