Brodit Gps Holder In A Verso

I am thinking about buying a brodit holder to put a tomtom in a Verso , there are three positions where the clip will fit .

1-- to the right of the driver in the vent near the door

2-- To the left of the driver in the left hand vent near the pop up storage box

3-- Down low near the clove box in the passenger side

Has anybody got a brodit which is used for a sat nav in there Verso ?? where is the brodit positioned ?? do you find it convenient to have it there and is it the best position !!

Thanks for any replies

Hi, a bit late in the reply !! I have the brodit clip on the left of the driver by the dash top box, very convienient position - not in your line of sight (as in a window sucker mount) but really easy to glance at. Didn't fancy it on the right as it would get wet when you open your door when its raining, the console mount would be too low down, maybe ok for a phone but not for sat nav i think. I can post a pic if your interested :)

Hello Kirium

Thanks for your reply!!! Yes if you could post a picture that would be really helpful .

What sat nav do you have on it ?? and how easy was it to fit the brodit ?? also do you find the steering wheel blocks your view of it at all and did you use a move clip with it which is supposed to make it easier to remove the sat nav when you park??

I was going to go with the centre mounted

Once again thanks for the info

Sorry for the delay in replying, busy, busy, busy :P

I've taken some snaps with my mobile: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mattcollins/v...clip__mount.htm I hope they are of some help - i couldn't get the snaps into the thread - any advice would be appreciated :)

I don't take the clip out, its been in for 3 years now - with it being black on a black dashboard and sited in the middle of the car i don't think the villans see it, or if they do, know what it is. Most of my friends originally thought it was for a mobile phone. I use a brodit powered mount on the proclip so my sat nav (HP iPAQ HX4700) slides straight out when not in use. Fitting took about 30secs - straight up !

Its a perfect spot for it really, its sited higher up than the radio display - so it's really easy to see, but not high enough to infringe on your forward view at all, it doesn't even break into the windscreen area at all B) the wheel doesn't get on the way either - can't understand how people drive along with huge suckers and satnavs stuck in the middle of the screen with cables hanging everywhere...

Hope it helps you make a decision :D

Thanks Kirium for all your help that is just the information that I had been looking for

Its a mystery to me as well how you load a photo on this site I think you have to load it onto another site such as photobucket and then download it on to here but I am not sure I think it tells you somewhere on the forum how to do it !!

It was the powered mount I was going to go for

Thanks

The Proclip and sat nav holder have now been fitted and as you have said Kirium the position in the center is perfect !!

The Photos were a great help !!I did use a mini move clip because you can just slide the mount of the holder and put out of site and all that is left behind is the proclip

Thanks
