Hi All

New to your forum. Looks good so far. Getting a new Verso D4D SR and would like to know what to look out for if anything when I pick it up in about 4 weeks. It will be a black paint job also.

Have read a few rumblings about steering and paint issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

K+S

Yes I have a red SR and the paint is darker on two doors, one drivers side and the other passengers side.A fault at the factory they said.

Steering was pulling to the left as well.Toyota will be taking the car back and suppling me with another brand new one very soon.

Tried a few other demonstrators and they seemed alright, Have chosen black this time at no extra cost to me.

Giving it another chance with the model.

Toyota have restored my faith in the car and company by doing this for me.

Just check it very carefully before driving out of the garage

Hi K@S.

I bought the car Brand new mid September 2007, and it will be replaced at the end of this month Jan 08

I had issues right from the start, steering, windscreen, paint.

The decision to replace it came from Toyota just before Christmas.

Roll on the replacement

Had new car for 3 weeks now, been in garage 3 times. " for brakes and once for steering pulling to left. Dealer swapped tyres and said tracking was ok. Will test drive it again when they change breaks and pads again!!!!!!. Second lot only did 120 miles. Cant see swapping tyres doiing bugger all. Will see.

If this continues I will be asking for a refund. Just checking my rights.

Back again. Think my verso is becoming an unreliable machine. Since last entry I have had 2 new sets of dics all round and had injectors replace due to them being coked and delivering poor economy. about 39/40 MPG on long runs. Now another 2 discs are scored and the fuel economy is still crap. Think its starting to pull to the left again to!!!!!!

Trading standards have advised me to seek a like for like replacement. Like the car but have no confidence in it. Its now spent 13 days at the dealer. Ony done 3500 miles. Think it could be a rogue perhaps. Dealer is very goog though. Chalres clark wolvs. Did have a lexus rx 350 courtesy car though for a week. Not bad

The centre storage compatment lid (on top of the dash) was a poor fit on mine. Salesman is ordering another 1 for me, not sure how much difference that will make.

If it is supplied with 7 seats up and the boot cover stowed away watch you don't knock the parking sensor switch when you take out the boot cover. It is located under the nearside boot trim panel, you have to remove to get the cover out (or store it). I did this on day 1 and thought the sensors had stopped working

Oops - i did as well - a tricky operation stowing/removing the cover - i cant seem to do it without removing the bulb access covers and scuffing the sides a little.

my SR ( 800 miles only) was in yesterday for the discs scoring left side - Inchcape changed all 4 discs and pads -

I thought my car pulled to left as well - they said it was within specs but swapped the front tyres over and adjusted the pressures?? - will keep an eye on this - if there is a problem should see some wear on the tyre
