I noticed that, he was seriously 'bigging up' the yaris on several fronts

Clarkson loves the yaris, which makes him a top bloke.

I love him anyway, easily the best car presenter on TV no matter what anyone on here says, top gear is still the best car show.

unfortunately this might mean than undesirable individuals might soon turn their attentions to the yaris than the saxo/306/205/nova/corsa/r5..... which would make the yaris less exclusive, oh :(

I dont rekon the Yaris would become the saxo/106/muppet tool of choice, Toyota dealers dont target the yaris at that crowd, were as Citroen/Peugot/etc do, even Ford is aiming more up market these days. Seems a divison is appearing between the two groups, those dealers that will target Joy Boys, using words like "cool, wicked etc" i their brochures, then the other type who sell on quality appreciated by all.

I was at my local toyota garage this morning and i asked if the top gear test has helped sales.

And is has so Im told. Some fleet manager for a quarry walked in and said find me 10 used Hilux's under 3 years old and under 50k and he will have them...so they did and done the deal. And that was Monday Morning
