New Avensis Cambelt

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a new 2007A spec Avensis either in the 2.0D or the 2.2D engine. I will be funding it over 3 years and have been stung previously with costs of changing the cambelt at 60K. Does anyone know if the new Avensis has a cambelt or is chain driven? If chain driven, it there a mileage limitation on it?

I thought it was chain driven (I have a 2007 2.0D).

Correct.......No problems with chains as yet and we have some high mileage users

2007 avensis d4d (2.0,2.2 and T180) diesels are chain driven. same as Rav and Auris.
