I am looking at a TS at the weekend, it is a 2002 with 38,000 miles at a good price of just over 5k...

Now I have currently got a celica GT4, with someone coming to take her off my hand on saturday...

Im gonna rince the pics now ;-)

Its a lovely car... 270bhp...

Im selling as I want a UK car that has better economy... So my choice being the TS..

Will I be satisfied, is it good value...?? And should i be looking at a newer version...??

Thanks

Nick

very nice celica you got there, and its up to you how much you want to spend.

year 04 and after and you get the facelift (bodykit, lowerd, rain sensitive wipers, etc)

i payed £8100 for 04 16k miles

i couldnt part with a car like that!! i think you might be dissapointed after owning a gt4 - the newer toyotas are much softer but ........ i dont think you will find a better comprimise over performance and mpg. the original t sport looks better but you do need to do a few mods to the suspension just to make the handling acceptable. tbh i wouldnt buy a t sport out of warranty unless the previous owner had the lil faults put right - squeeky master cylinder, dodgy clutch and the newer shift cables. oh ay - lift will help compensate the loss of your gt4

Cheers guys...

You see I used to have a honda crx, with the b16 engine... and id be happy with that sort of performance again...

Do you reckon the deal i wrote at the top is good...??

just over 5k for 38,000 miles is cheap as chips, depends on how well it's been looked after though.

personally i'd rather spend a grand or 2 for a second car than get rid of that for a t-sport, thats a beauty.

them crx's where lil beasts weren't they? the crx might be slightly faster in a straight line but wouldnt be much in it and defo handle better. u not thought of an mr2? lift is good and that sounds a really good price and t sport is a nice car to drive - crx, gt4 are more hardcore and t sport a lot more civilised. test drive is the only way - i found my driving has really calmed down since having the t sport........ which aint a bad thing!

second what fisel says!

mate of mine at work recently got a mr2 and is forever saying its soo bad in the wet, followed him out of work once he was infront and i was on him like glue i had to ease off the accelerator twice (this was off a roundabout in second) he had to pull in the left hand lane so i could fly past him, lovely cars i was looking at one before the CTS but i then heard of LIFT :)
