hi i am wondering if the plastic console which has the cup holder to the rear of the hand brake (3 door mk1), could be swapped with the mk2 where there are 2 cup holders just below the centre console i have seen pics but dont know if they fit

Never thought of that one. I imagine there would be a good chance they would fit. You might be able to source one from a breaker and give it a try. Or come along to the RAV day out in 3 May, warrington and nick somebody elses!! Do you have the cup holder above the glove box; one on the handbrake console; then 1 on each side of the rear seats??

Now I know you have a 3 door! The towing issue you mentioned before - I'd reckon on being able to tow around 1500kg and take care on anything heavier.

Sorry I don't know if they would fit, best option would be to try a scrap one first, Toyota trim is usually very expensive
