Hi All,

I bought a Toyota Avensis in June 2007, a 2003 Strata model, bought from a reputable toyota dealer, within 4 month's had to replace the Battery, didnt mind that but now the back wheel suspension arm is faulty, dealer says it is a fault with the 2003 model that excessive play is occuring due to the arm of the wheel being made of aliminium and metal and that the metal has worn down the aluminium, TDC warranty not worth the paper its written on ,,,,, has any once wlse had this same problem with the suspension~???? the dealer said that the tyre on the other side will eventually get the same probelm , if he can forsee the fault now why could he not forsee the fault before i bought the car 7 month's ago?? My car is now not safe to drive until it is repaired costing over 1000euro!!

Please help.

Im sure there was a recall for these rear arms a year or so ago. Had to change quite a few sets under warranty back then.
