My car broke down 5 weeks ago and i finally got it back Monday. After all the tests they found out the ECU was sending to much fuel to the second cylinder and that caused 'excessive wear'. They replaced the short end of the engine, thank the lord for warranties, it would have cost me £2500 without labour Mr T Said, don't know how true this is?? Now i can't drive my car over 4,000 rpm's for 1000 miles, which is torture. It feels and sounds like they've done a good job. We will see. Has anybody heard of this before?? Just curious!

It showed uo on the AA's diagnostic tool after it broke down. He said it was showing a misfire! Didn't ask at Mr T.
