hey ppl, i just got kw coilovers and white line anti roll bars fitted to my car today, the car is DEF like its on rails now, the handling is AMAZING even in the wet weather, but obviously i wasnt driving tooo fast, but still kinda fast enough to feel the difference. They lowered the car a bit too though, so im gna hav to raise it a bit more. i will take some pics wen the weather is betta. o yeh also, to access the front anti roll bar they had to take out the sub frame, i think its the sub frame  had to pay an xtra £100 for that ;) but its all worth it in the end. pics coming up soon, just hope the weather is nice tomorrow

Wow! Very nice indeed. The car is squatting so low now. Quality. Great choice of colour and great wheels.

Isn't it painful driving it low? Roads must be pretty darn flat where you drive. :)

I want to get the anti-roll bars at somepoint, where did you buy them from? 200 is a very reasonable price.

Also do you have the standard remus backbox on the car?

Cheers

Armz.

yeh im still not quite use to the hard ride yet, but ill hav to get use to it eventually, but roads around my area r quite flat, just some small speed bumps on my road which r not damaging THANKS GOD. i got the anti roll bars from Fensport, i think it came to £200, but DEF no more than £220 and my exhaust is the standard toyota exhaust, i plan to get a custom exhaust. but im actually gna b going to Holland for 2 years to work in a sushi restaurant, so i wnt b able to drive my car :( im gna hav to get my bro to look after her. so no more mods now, till i get bak

holland aint the place for a nice car...... learnt the hard way! although the two mr t's i used where spot on. it helped i had the gxi which they didnt get in holland. corolla mad the dutch - big scene - even got invited to the annual meet. car looks good now, wheels fill the arches now but you right that back wants raising a lil bit.

i think ill stand a chance with a type r around bends now, but still wnt b able to beat if on the straights. im curious bout the new fiesta ST coming out end of this month, its gna hav 185bhp, itll b a mini beast. i read that if u bought the ST during and after xmas u can upgrade to the 185 for an xtra £995. LOL kinda gone off subject now

Wrong... the facelift CTR didn't have LSD unfortunately... I thought this until i bought mine! The Jap import does though and has 220bhp! B)

With these suspension mods, a K&N Typhoon kit and custom exhaust you've more than beaten a standard CTR in my experience...

are you sure? i'm talking the ep3 - when they gave it a facelift they fitted an lsd......... me lil cousin had a type r and it was so well balanced around corners. stiffer doesnt mean better in my experience ......... unless the misses ankles are keeping yer ears warm  does a decent intake really make a big difference on the t sport? been thinking of getting one - purely for the sound! - but cant see how they make such a difference? to much potential for hot air to be drawn in - if you remove the restrictor on the standard intake so it can draw from the inner wing i found a small improvement but having a filter exposed in a hot engine bay...... doesnt add up to me.

I had the last edition EP3 Premier and it didn't have an LSD and I checked this on the Type-R owners club too. I think Ckman85 has set his a little too low, but getting it set up right and with the wider tyres (and probably lighter wheels by the look of them) he'd definitely have good handling...

As for the K&N the difference is incredible! I left the snorkle in place but removed the restrictor/resonator so it was drawing cold air in from the wing. The thing is I keep telling people that the manifold on this engine is at the rear so the major heat source is back there and the induction kit is behind the headlight drawing in whatever cold air there is as there is plenty of space around it...

no doubt the handling will be really good.......... them type r's though!! thats what i removed from standard air box and it makes a difference and sounds a lil bit better. makes sense about manifold...........like the look of them blitz sonic uns?

Well I got 199.9BHP on the rolling road with my K&N so fairly similar results... however I don't want to start the whole rolling road debate again!

I want those wheels!

What brand are they and where did you get them from?

their Rota wheels, their basically replicas of JAP lightweight wheels. Their website is www.rarerims.co.uk.

How much xtra bhp u think a custom exhaust wud giv? ive quoted a custom exhaust from Hayward and Scott, 100cell High Flow cat and Dual exhaust for £1100 thats with the manifold im planning to provide for them to fit aswell. Not cheap i know but they're a known company. but like i said, i wnt b doing n e more mods to the car for bout 2 years now bcos im off to Holland, so custom exhaust will hav to wait till i get bak

hey ppl, i just got kw coilovers and white line anti roll bars fitted to my car today, the car is DEF like its on rails now, the handling is AMAZING even in the wet weather, but obviously i wasnt driving tooo fast, but still kinda fast enough to feel the difference.

Hi'ya,

This is probably going to sound really dumb but how does all this better the performance of the car fro mhow it was previoulsy?

I thought the facelift models already roll bars? or is that strut bar? not sure about the differences, will google now.

Cheers

Most Corolla comes with Anti Roll bars Standard apart from the 1.4 i think, but the Whiteline anti roll bars i fitted r thicker, so itll b stronger to hold the chassis and the coilovers r MUCH stiffer than standard suspension, u can adjust the height and damping
