Hi again!

Well I've owned a '07 Focus ST3 now since July and the running costs are starting to get to me as is the fact my next job is in the city and I can't afford to have it sitting outside my house all week! :( It's an awesome car and I'd love to have bottomless pockets to do some mods but unfortunately my head has over-ruled.

I really don't think there is a better hot hatch (or luke warm whatever your opinions may be!) for the money than a CTS so I'm thinking of spending £8/9k on another facelift CTS, only this time in Alsace Granite. I do love red like my old one and it really turned heads as it was so rare, but I feel like a change...

When I had mine you could readily buy cheap TTE back boxes, Eibach springs, T Sport mats, TTE alloys etc on eBay but now there seems to be even less - where do you guys buy your mods now???

Hopefully I will be back here as an owner member soon. Even though I've had a CTR Premier and a Focus ST since my CTS, I really really miss the grunt I had with the K&N and TTE back box, but this time I want a little more. Don't say Compressor though as I want to experience the LIFT again!!! :D

That’s a shame pal, if I had 15k to spend on a hot hatch I’d deffinately get one of those.

I coming to the end of my t-sport ownership as I need the funds for a business venture.

It’s a black 05 plate (warrenty til July) with just under 23k on the clock, has the leather and alcantara interior too, pm me if you’re interested.

new ctr looks good.... certainly stands out. went to toyota today in rochdale - there was an auris 180 in white with a few of them new tte bits (f1 or something) and it looked blinding. not liked them until i seen it - took a couple of pics. had tte chip too. worth a look - will try and upload pics but not had any luck in the pas.

I know, not sporty enough for me, too wolly in handling. Don't get me wrong cts is a great car just I prefer the ctrs handling and body control. My headlights has also developed condisation in them which makes my main beam look like very wide angle dip lol.

I don't know what's up with me! Apart from the CTS I seem to have changed cars every 6 months or so! I guess I get bored and the CTS was the only one I had a real passion for. I've had lots of Corollas (G6, GXi, CTS, AE86), a Glanza V, a Carina E and then all the rest have been Jap apart from the Focus so I guess I'm a Toyota man...

I love the Auris T180 in white with the full TMS kit etc, but unless a T sport petrol version comes out I won't be buying one as I don't like the lazy style of high powered diesels... and the interior would need to be more special than the current Auri!!! :P

Someone asked about the CTR (pic below - not great!) and why I kept it for so short a period. Simple - I bought it on a whim in Nov '06 cos I missed my T Sport (had sold it to free up some cash) and then sold it again in Feb '07 to buy a flat - simple as. Great car, but too harsh and noisy on the motorway. Missed the creature comforts and uniqueness of the T Sport too... the one thing that drove me over the edge with the CTR was the tyre noise - sounded like wheel bearings gone, but even the tiniest flat spot of the tyre caused a humming noise...

By the way I've found the CTS I'm looking for, but of course I need to sell my ST3 first! Also it's far away, but hopefully my local Toyota dealer can have it transported down as i have a good relationship with them...
