Wheel Bearing Question

I jacked my car up to figure out why my wheels shudder when i accelerate and one cracks when i full-lock it.

I pulled the wheels left and right and found lots of play with the front-right wheel. It clanks a little and doesn't happen on the passenger side wheel.

Otherwise all other suspension parts (bushes etc.) seem OK.

Is the CV joint gone? Any advice from here?

Cheers

Difficult one this, as it seems like you may have more than one problem. Passenger side judder; drivers side creaking on lock. Cant help but think along the lines of nacked CV. The symptom of click on lock usually indicates this, but it could be a wheel bearing.. As for the judder. It could be the same thing. It might not..

It would be very easy to diagnose if i could see the car, but obviously, thats not possible!

It could be;

1. CV joint, inner/outer.

2. Wheel bearing/hub bearing

3. Worn discs/brakes.

4. Improperly/worn/un-balanced Wheels/Tyres

5. Worn track-rod or anti-rol bar

6. Worn steering rack/ends

7. Gearbox/Engine mountings

If you are in any doubt, then the brightest thing to do would be to take the car to a cheap but well reputed garage!

I'm not sure if they exist though.. :crybaby:
