dont know what ya mean matey :S more info please.

was at work yesterday (im an electrician) and was fixing some big lights, 1000watt floodlights, and had an idea lol. they is a reflective metal surround in them to reflect the light out of the light fiting and also to protect the inside (choke, igniter etc) from over heating. im going to get a couple of these surrounds and cut and bend etc to fit my typhoon :D the refelective surround is rigid and easy to work with is only couple of mm thick but it may do the job.

if it works i could enclose all of the typoon filter intake (cone on the end) make a 1-2 inch hole in this heat shield that i can fix my cold air intake. not sure if this would work im thinking it may choke the typhoon of air as the intake part is enclosed maybe ? may just have to encase half of the typhoon's intake, i will keep yas updated about this as i need my typhoon to come first so i have something to work from :)

Yeah keep us updated mate... the first thing I'm buying if I pick up this T Sport next week is the K&N Typhoon and Eibach lowering springs so I'd be interested if you came up with a cheap and effective solution... ;)

there is a small write up in banzai mag about a new product. it looks like tin foil but it can be used to keep heat out of unwanted areas in an engine. works up to 450 degrees constant heat. can dig up the article if you want

what do yas think ? surely the hot air will get in the gaps between the filter and heat shield ? or do these work well ?

only one left (dont be pinching it off me lol)

get it and bring it to the rollers? soon see..........cant you read air intake temp through obd socket?

well ive ordered the heat shield :) going to buy some insulating tin/foil to help also with keeping the typhoon cool and also set up a cold air feed. shall get some 1 to 2 inch flexi pipe from work for cold air feed.

only thing is im not that good at being a mechanic lol not sure if i would be able to fit the typhoon there and then at the rolling road after my standard run.

also not sure about reading air intake temp. im a electrician not a mechanic, well i try to be an electrician lol
