1993 Celica Big End

Hi everyone, need a bit of advice please.

Bought a 1993 2.0 GTi celica off eBay last weekend, was told that the exhaust needed replacing. Got it for under £400 so I'm happy as Larry.

Problem is, one week on, and I've started to hear an awful knocking noise from under the bonnet. Think work needs to be done to the big end (this is what a few people have said, I'm not a mechanic).

Just wondering if anyone knows of a likely price for parts + where I can get them? How long would a garage take to sort this problem? Or should I just cut my losses and sell?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks mate, just looked on eBay. Do you know if its a 3SGE? If not, what code should I be looking for?
