Corolla 1.3 G6 Backbox

Hi guys.

My backbox is not too healthy as its aged on a bit, (blowing sounds).

Went to my local spares today & got a backbox.

Got home to fit the backbox found the current exhaust is a complete whole unit from backbox to just past the cat.

Now i don't know if Toyota has done this on purpose to make us fork out extra money on the other pipes or not.

Would be a little silly if i had to buy all 3 complete units just for the one.

Hope you guys understand what i mean.

Any suggestions?

go to a local garage and get them to cut off your old back box and weld the new one in it's place. otherwise if you want it replaced by OE parts its about £411 (i asked but then got a custom built one) this is becuase they do replace everything including the catalyst backwards.

Think i will get my local mechanic to cut the exsisting pipe to put the backbox on as its got a sleeve joint.
