A warm welcome to this forum Jason. Shame its in a situation of problems but thats what we're here for - sharing problems.

The basic bits you need to tell us is the age of the car; if its petrol or diesel; a model description if poss; and any more detail about the problem - is the engine starting but not moving the car???? And so on.

The more you can describe, the easier it will be for us to suggest things that could be wrong.

Is the starter motor turning the engine?

There are 1 or 2 of us who look at the forum late on so if you receive this tonight, just blether away and describe what you can. We're not experts but we'll help where we can.....

sorry for not being clearer

i know it a older style rav 4 with a petrol engine

i'm gonna have a look at it this mornibg so i have more info then

what i do know is that when you turn the key nothing come on at all

there is no click or any lights coming on , the central locking is not working either

they told me the Battery is fine ( my brother in law tested it, but i'm gonna check it when i get over there )

i do know a bit about cars, but have never worked on my mums rav before

and thought someone may be able to point me in the right direction
