I've just made a big socket type tool to get the oil filter off...it looks the job B) instead of using a chain wrench

They do them for motorcycles. Had one for my old Kawasaki, dunno if it'll fit the car. I must have a look. Also, them - there boa-type wrench's are good. A flexible strap that goes round the filter like a chain wrench. Also undo lids/jars etc.
