Greetings Roadster owners, I have now joined your ranks :D

Sadly the Soarer had to go and the supercharged Aygo isn't going to happen this year as there are just so few tuning parts available. However, I have acquired an MR2 so hopefully can still compete in the Sprint Series in March.

Car seems fine, 38800 miles and no nasty noises, but only half full of oil 3k miles after its last service. Does anybody know how many litres make up the difference between high and low marks on the dipstick?

Drives very nicely, though

Paul.

Approx 1L, according to the handbook ,although I have never tried it myself.

(so far our`s dosn`t use any oil @ 52000mls).

By the way, Welcome.

Bob.

Thanks Bob. The car didn't come with a handbook, but I'll ask my dealer if one can be ordered.

Congratulations on your purchase.

Parts-King seems to be able to get hold of manuals; PM him the details.

Welcome to the Roadster side

WE don't have one of the falsest MR2's but as long as you have the right tyres (all round) with the right pressures the grin factor cornering is fantastic :D and don't be a fair weather soft topper.......get it down at the slightest opportunity

As for oil consumption, I'm the same as bgorman....60k and don't use a drop but as long as there are no nasty noises and the exhaust isn't oily black things should be ok, even though mine doesn't use any I still check it every other day

I am now wondering what a falsest MR2 is and if there is a conversion that can be carried out ;

You're right, the avatar and sig need work! Will get that sorted :D

Yeah, just for novelty value I stuck on a woolly hat and drove back home with the roof down yesterday. Awesome

Need to get a cage sorted now. Rogue are developing one at the moment so hopefully will have that in a few weeks. Since this is an early car, I've been looking at bracing and it seems Silverstone Performance do some. Has anybody tried that route?

Will also get the pre-cats evicted promptly, just to be on the safe side.

Paul.
