Taken Car In To Have Squeaky Clutch Looked At...still Squeaks

Took my car in today for what i thought was going to be the whole day for them to look at but turns out they spent half an hour while i waited an just greased the clutch pedal mechanism.

Didn't solve it so drove it straight back there. spoke to another person there who said it could be master cylinder or clutch release bearing which i said in the first place after reading it is a common fault.

Its going back in on friday for them to hopefully look at it properly.

Lift bonnet get mate to press pedal......is the squeak near the gearbox? If so it's the clutch fork pivot that need greasing, to do it properly reqs gearbox out!

thats what vantage did to mine - sprayed wd40........ they then replaced the pivot fork which didnt help. got sick of them after about 6 visits :angry: took to different dealer - explained about the squeek...... he looked on the system and showed me - squeeky clutch operation - faulty master cylinder - upgrade available - all in black and white on toyotas system! cant understand why some service departments dont identify this.
