Hid's And Continuous Problems!

Right, pretty furious right now over the xenons i have purchased. The ultimate HID kit from HID4U

Can anyone thats had these installed tell me how many failure units they had before they managed to have both sides lights working for more than 5 days in a row?

First unit failed 4 days after fitting, ok, fine, got it replaced after a long wait so my bodyshop could fit it. Luckily with a bit of improvisation as HID4u failed to send me back the extension cable that goes from the ballast to the main unit!!. So im missing that but that side is ok and still working.

This evening coming home from work just as i switched on the lights, the other side that has been fine since the beginning just flickered and died. Am i to assume i've been sent a complete dud package from the beginning or HID4U's quality of kit is no where near the 'Ultimate' claim, and most probably a 10dollar unit from china.

Anyone got any input on how reliable their light systems are as i'm pretty much ready to give up buying anything from them again in the future!

Rant over.

Cheers

The amount of times i've had to remove the bumper and put them back on for these lights is ridiculous, over 10 times.

I think tomorrow a trip down to my bodyshop to remove them completely and send them back to HID4U for a FULL refund. 199pounds.

Chances are if i'd have bought a 50quid one of eBay it would still be working. And if you knew how much these actual units cost from china you'd laugh at the amount of profit the HID4U guys are making.

Hogie, another disaster mate!

Seats arrived 2 weeks late, lots of damage, doors card surrounds cracked and broken, leather has so many indetations, pulls and scrapes its not funny. Whoever packed it was off his head. eBay auction Stated quote 'MINT MINT MINT'. They threw it all on a pallet, shrinkwrapped it and shipped it. Center console armrest was missing, 1 week of calls finally got that armrest finally. I have to say anything anyone buys off these guys from eBay has to know that they seriously mis-describe the state of the items. I wouldnt buy from these guys again if my life depended on it.

Multiple pictures taken and emailed to them, over 40 calls to them made, always same excuses same story. 'Lets check the pictures and get abck to you'. I've sent them and left my contact details with them everysingle time for them to call me back with whats the next step, but they fail evertime.

Today i finally made 1 hour to just chase these guys, call after call, 'yes manager is on the other line, he'll call you back.. blah blah blah'......

Tomorrow i wont be so patient as i'm getting this sorted one way or another. Via eBay, paypal and other means.

So yeah, stay away from all their auctions if you can. Bunch of cowboys.

Rant 2 over. lol

P.S inbox cleared.

Cheers

Credit to the HID4U guy Chris., spoke to him today and he is sending me an entire half of the kit so i can fit the bad side and send them back the faulty units. Shame the previous guys never wanted to help in that way, even when i said i would pay for an entire half a kit.

That saved me having to remove the bumper and put it on a ramp atleast twice. So looks like im keeping the HID's after all. Unless something fails again.

Next im going for the leather interior guys! lol!

Cheers

I've had about 3 kits from HIDS4U, all of them has been 100% reliable. I would never drive a car without them. I try and stay away from 6000K temperature because it can dazzle other drivers, 5000K is the max I'd go for. The HIDS4U Pro Max is better than the ultimate IMO, because its 55W and it really does make a huge improvement.

Had 55W in the corolla, 6000K & 5000K, the 6000K was much brighter than the 6000K 35W I had in my old yaris. They were pants. I didnt keep 6000K bulbs, I changed them for 5000K, OK you tend to loose the HID light effect, but you do get more usable light.

I cant wait for the weekend to fit the kit into my CTR, I dont know how most people drive around with standard halogen bulbs :o, it's scary, I'm scared someone or something will come out in front of me and I wont see them until the last second.

Being one of the first to purchase and fit a HID kit from HIDS4U last August I can say that I have never had a problem with the kit I was supplied with.

I installed it no problems and I've never had the kit fail whatsoever. It really has made a difference to my nighttime driving.

These kits are guaranteed and if there are any problems then I'm sure HIDS4U will sort out. Much easier to sort out problems with a UK supplier than to get the cheap kits from a China.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Well i got my HID replacement yesterday, popped down to my bodyshop to fit it and the look on their faces said it all. NOT AGAIN?!?! lol.

I decided to leave it till they are quiet so probably monday now. It's really taking liberties the amount of trouble i've had with the ultimate kit and the amount of work the bodyshop has gone through for these lights.

Main thing is i have everything to get working. :D Hopefully this one isnt from a faulty batch either.

Cheers
