Received a letter recently about recalling Prius to fix the Prius genuine rubber floor mat because it may slip forward and interfere with accel pedal. Anyone else got this?

Yes, I got one as well, but I haven't checked if it applies to me yet.

It is two small retaining lugs that clip into the ready made floor holes on the drivers side. The mat has two holes which clip on the retaining lugs. The dealer fitted the "lugs" and the mats in about 3mins. I did not get a recall as the mats were bought when I purchased the car; the retainers came with the mats.

CLARIFICATION

Just to clarify the situation.

IF you had accessory rubber mats fitted to your RAV OR PRIUS, then an inspecton is required of the rubber mats. IF the mat has a certain part number stamped underneath the mat, then it will require replacement. This is ONLY APPLICABLE if you had GENUINE RUBBER mats fitted in the car as an accessory, it does NOT apply to any other type of carpet mats or non-genuine mats. You just need to pop into your local dealer and have it looked at, IF a replacment is necessary, then it will be replaced FREE OF CHARGE

Kingo

Sorry if I got my wires crossed on this one. The "lugs" I mentioned were a recall on my previos car an Avensis. I thought it was the same type of recall for the Prius.
