Just taken my car back to toyota today with my squeaky clutch and they have sad they need to replace the whole clutch.

They also said they need to adjust the tensiooners as there is a screachin noise when taking off at low speeds in say 2nd.

These faults have been on the car since i picked it up 2 weeks ago but it was serviced a few days before i bought it. You would of thought these things would be picked up.

Could you tell me what kind of symptoms the car gives off? I too only just bought an 02 TS a couple of weeks ago and its making all sorts of horrible noises. Luckily the place I got it from says the have an unconditional warranty on their cars and fix any problems. I have a !Removed! list at the minute...

dave is this getting done under warrenty ? how much have they charged you if it aint under warrenty ?

maybe the owner before you liked to dip the clutch a lot or drive fairly hard , then again could have been someone who didnt know how to drive properly. not sure how many miles a clutch should last but wouldnt mind knowing.

wouldnt mind knowing so i can save some money for when and if mine ever goes.

Im hoping it is going to be done under warranty as i bought it from a toyota garage and have only had the car 2 weeks.

It makes a squeaking noise and you can feel something through the pedal wehen the engine is under load, ie accelerating over 4000 rpm then changing gear is when it normally does it in any gear, if the revs are down and you change gear it is fine.

The guy form the garage came for a drive in the car with me so he could see it for himself then he drove it back to the garage, within an hour he rang to say it needs a clutch.

I asume it was either bad driving or just a dodgey clutch was put in the first place.

had a few clutches on mine - upgrades every time. new clutch will get rid of that horrible feel through the peddle but the squeeek will still be there.........

if the cars out of warranty you have seven days from purchasing the car - cool of period i think they call it - to bring probs to there attention, if you done that you shouldnt have any probs.... fingers crossed
