Hi Dave, and welcome to TOC ;)

Now if my memory serves me right the only recent member to do this was Bitman. He fitted a kenwood unit, you

could PM him as he does not seem to be on here much nowadays.

Hello David and welcome.

I never had the urge to change it myself.

There's a few links in this thread, unfortunately it's for single din:

http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70362

a bit of googling for facia plates and harness adapters might throw up something?

Cheers

Hi there, i want to upgrade my stereo and would like to include sat nav in my Rav xt3 2004 model, could you let me know what you bought, how much, if sounds good, did/can you also retain onboard trip computer outside temp info etc, plus a piccy of it instaled?

Cheers

I have the first generation 4.2 those ones with the allan keys. But since you have already removed the existing radio head your job is almost done!

Remove those two brackets bold on your original radio head and bold them on your new radio head. Now the trick is that Mr T made their radio heads just a bit wider. So you will need a Toyota part: 86221-52050 and 86221-52060.

I bought these brackets for only $15 incl p&p

Also so you will need an adapter cable from Toyota to ISO but thats all.

have fun,

bt
