How To Clean Performance Air Filters

hey guys i installed a mashroom air filter in my car for the first time.......and in my country they dont sell cleaning kit.......so i was just wondering that anyone can help me out to clean my air filter without the kit.....thanks.

Warm soapy water you can use.

Let the filter dry naturally though or you can also use petrol to clean the filter but soap and water is a safer bet.

I drop it in a bucket of water with dishwashing soap, leave it there for about half an hour. After that, bob it up and down to push air and water through the element and clear all the dirt and dust. Rinse and repeat (without the soak for half an hour part) a few times, until the water doesn't look to dirty any more.

Leave it to air dry or fan dry it. Spray with a little oil. Voila!
