Very Smoky Surf

Hi.

I have just purchased a mint 1993 surf.Recently it has started to smoke all the time and cut out after half a mile.Its already had the head gasket done and a new head fitted before i had bought it.

Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

The colour of the smoke out of the exhaust is black and smells of diesel.And the engine cuts out, then you have to give it full thottle to start it again.

Black smoke is unburnt diesel, renew the air filter.

change the fuel filter while doing the air
