Dipstick Blowing Out, Common Or Not?

As i'm gonna get my drive belt noise sorted by the dealer, is it worth telling them that every time I drive my car, the dipstick blows out the tube a bit?

sometime its about 5mm, the next week it moves out by 20mm!

Normally for me (being a mechanic!) that usually indicates an excessive crankcase pressure problem or something along those lines

any thoughts?

btw, I know that as i'm a mechanic, I could have a stab at fixing it myself but, its under warranty! let toyota foot the bill :D

it doesnt sound good - what would cause excessive pressure build-up? maybe a blockage in the oil galleries or too much oil. maybe the top of the dipstick doesnt plug right? vibration?

I posted about this last time, as you say just works its way out but only when you use high rpm's. Toyota dealer were willing to investigate but is sounded like a big job as engine removal was mentioned! so I thought to hell with it.

Thanks for the info guys

I don't think I will get them to look at it then if its common, it isn't blowing any oil out of there so i'm happy with that

What I will get them to investigate though is the 'TSC off' and 'VSC' lights staying on  hopefully nothing wrong with it, just a glitch
