Tns300 Language Change Can Anyone Help?

Hi all,

Just joined - I have just brought a 54 plate 1.8 TSpirit Avensis (UK car) - I have the TNS300 sat nav but it is in a foreign language!!! - I have taken the disk out and put back in etc and messed around for a bit with no joy!!!-

Does anyone know how to change the language back to English?

Hi mate,

I did check in my and I have to go on remote control to button "Info" then "languages" and then choose GB again and after this should see on screen option to choose language in Speakers.Hopefully it will help if not let me know.

I didnt get a remote control from the garage I brought it from it was a car supermarket. Should I have a remote control with it? - The scrren is a small one at the top of the dash. - Someone has suggested disconnecting the Battery and this will reset it and I will be able to change the language? Any advice appreciated.

I would have assumed every time it started you'd get a safety message and have to press "ok" to start the system, and there you could select the language. Do you not get that menu?

Press "MENU"

Select "Setting" and press "ENT"

Select "Language" and press "ENT"

Select "English KM / MILES" and press "ENT"

Select "KM" or "MILES" and press "ENT"

This will change the language but may not give UK navigation instructions as my car seems to default to scandinavian when the Battery is disconnected!

To set UK as your location, go back to the "Setting" menu and from there select "SET POSITION" and press "ENT"

Select "Country" and press "ENT"

Select "GB" and press "ENT"

This should sort it for you.
