with the lights up remove the plastic outer trim , and then the light unit itself (four screws), sounds a pig but not too bad a job

Don't you have to take the headlight out from the front?

So headlights up, (you may need to remove plastic shroud 3 screws), remove four screws in chrome trim that are holding headlight in place, pull headlight forward, then disconnect wiring from back of bulb, change bulb, replace. IIRC.

If that's not correct, I have a complete spare unit in the loft so I can figure it out from that for you if you wish.

HTH.

D'Oh. Dawesy beat me to it; at least we agreed on the procedure.

As he says, it's very quick. In fact tonnes easier than removing the bulbs on most modern cars which have to be removed from the back and are a nightmare to get to. Pop-ups for the win!

Good luck,

just make sure nobody can turn the light switch while you're working on the lights with them up - the motors are very powerful and will take your fingers off if the lights go down while you're working on them.
