One Of The Reasons I Drive A Rav 4

No money to repair the roads? Surely there must be some sort of error because that nice Mr Brown takes an annual road fund fee off us for that and channels it directly back to the council. I can't imagine that any of that gets used for other purposes like funding wars or the cost of those that prefer not to work (bless them they must be tired).

The roads should be like billiard tables for the amount of money that is generated and I see the advantage of having a RAV but to some extent we are playing their game because we are less likely to complain about a wheel getting wrecked and chuck a healthy contribution from RFL and fuel duty. I bet they wish we all had them.

The line I like is.....

"Figures from the AA and the road builders' association, Asphalt Industry Alliance, suggest local authorities are now paying out as much in compensation for damage and injury from potholes are they are on filling them in."

Say's it all really! :censor: :ffs: :crybaby:

it's sad but for me it looks like a third world country. back home our roads are as they should be. but that's also since we pay a decent amount of road tax to fund it and not the peanuts money we pay over here... even our fuel is more expensive by about 20 pence. just a couple thinks to think about.

Not being totally biased, but the one thing we do have here on the island is quality road surfaces. I don,t think I have ever seen a pothole on any road overhere. I think it could be a TT thing plus the fact the DOT repair the roads and they are not tendered out to any road contracter like they do in the UK.

Followed an Evo 5 (complete with big bore exhaust) in the traffic tonight and all due credit to it's owner it was a beauty. You could just see that it was really well looked after.

Can't remember exactly when the Evo 5 came out (mid Nineties  )....we are on Evo 10 now but this car looked mint, straight out of the box. Who ever you are, well done! :toast:

You're not going to use the big bore exhausts to launch SCUD's are you?

Maybe Saddam should have thought of that instead of a that expensive supergun "pipework"!:lol:
