Help! I Really Need Some Advice...

Hi! I have a 2007 Yaris and I have an issue. I really need some suggestions, if anyone has any.

I only have street parking where I live...and I have been getting rude notes on my windshield over the past month. And all of a sudden - one day - my horn stopped working. I just got back from the Toyota dealership - and someone definitely CLIPPED my horn!!

Do you know of anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? The guy at Toyota told me that there was no way of hiding the wire. (It is *right* under the front of the car)

Is there any way I could strap something onto the wire that would either spill paint on the person, electrocute/taser them or sound some sort of separate alarm if they try to do this again??? I don't know what to do!

I called the police and they said that if I do not know *who* it is, I unfortunately can not do much.

Any suggestions would be so much appreciated!!!

I dunno much about the wire...

I thought that you could try to set up a spy camera and catch the idiot who keeps on putting the notes or messing up with your car...

It really looks like that person is trying to be as much of a nuisance as possible and I think that you should check your tires and make sure everything is working in your car before u set off every morning...

Thank you. Yea, I am pretty freaked out, but I don't know what to do! I am mainly just trying to think of a way to stop them from cutting the wire again. I wonder if I taped a note underneath there if it would stay or not. Also, my window doesn't face the street...so it'd be impossible to set up a camera. :(

Surely the wires can't be clipped without the bonnet being open??! I can't see why anyone on the entire planet would want to do something as silly as that!

Just tape the wire onto the chassis or anything nearby, and add a new wire as a decoy.

Have this wire hooked up on a speaker that'd go off as an alarm whenever the wire is cut.

Have no idea how to actually fix that, but at least it's an idea right?

You could put sharp pointy objects inside your car (near where the wire is shown)... although i think you might get into trouble for that too if the person is injured..........Actually your from the US arnt u? then the laws might be bit different ;)

god, thats shockin haha, my advice? hide in a bush for a night, wait till you see whos doing it, then cut theyre horn and brake cables the next night.....

nah but seriously thats a bit rubbish hah, try and set a camera up out the front of your house? will be worth it if you can catch whos doing it.
