Which head unit is it?

If its the Sony one you can get a Unilink adapter, which plugs into the CD changer plug on the back of the head unit. It fools the Head unit into thinking there is a CD changer attached and opens up the use of the Phono inputs on the back, you can then buy a phono - 3mm audio jack cable and thats it.

Taking the head unit out, or gaining access to it involves dismantling the centre console, but its only about 6-8 bolts, so doesn't take long.

Hope that helps in some way.
