How do you pull them out? I've tried a few things and they aren't budging. Is there any tools which you can buy to get them out?

Needle nose pliers, but be careful not to grip them to hard and break the fuse. I remember on my old ford they had a little tool in the cover to get them out, handy little thing it was

If you look inside the main fusebox lid there should be a fusepuller clipped into it.

If not, must have gone walkies over the years.
