Pinking Gt4

Have rebuilt engine runs great on tick over but when i rev quickly i get heavy pinking. Have tried finding fault codes but i think E M Light has blown, could it be knock sensor, What symptems do they give when blown thanks Kev

do you actually hear the pinking? are you sure it is that and not just a loose bolt, sorry if that sounds kinda harsh

Also if the engine's been rebuilt have you checked the base timing is set to 10 degrees...
