Tapping Noise From Engine

hi guys can anyone help i have a cts and when it starts up the engine is so quite but after driving for about half hour and the engine heats up it starts to tap slightly is this down to the oil thats being used but its also just had an oil and filter change from toyota

Do you mean you hear it tapping from inside the car or after driving and you lift the bonnet again!?!? If it's just when you lift the bonnet, there is a characteristic ticking noise from the injectors I think it is... but any louder than a "tick" and I'd be worried!!!

well its louder than an injector tick sounds like tapits maybe so it didnt no weather its down to the oil thining out when hot
