pretty sure a REV3 one will, not personally heard of it been done before, just REV2's into 185's

Im not that keen on doing it to be honest cuase as far as im aware the mr2 turbo has less power than the stock st205 engine. im lookin for a new engine and the cheapest i have found was a mr2 engine with 32000 on it

Mechanically the engine is the same in ST205 and Rev 3 mr2 Turbo, the power difference comes from poorer charge cooling in the mr2 and hence altered mapping to suit due to it being mid engined as I understand

So if i am just using it as a replacement engine then it will b the same power if i have the orginal ecu etc?

pretty much, the differance as it's been said are down to the mapping of the ECU, the GT4 has better cooling so can be pushed that little bit further, a lesson that should be learned from when we start to modify our cars lol

yep just strip the engine back to the manifolds and then fit the 4 ancillary's on. both motors are the same

ask for a pic of it and check that the rocker cover looks the same (or ask what year its from, for a 205 it needs to be 94 on) if its the rev 2 (89-93) then it wont work in the 205
