Headlight Condensation

Well haveing recently purchased a 2004 Avensis, i was surprised to see that condensation had started to appear in the lens of the front headlights, upon reading the posts on this forum, i found out this was a common problem, so i rang Toyota UK, and their customer services said, take it along to your local Toyota dealer and they will fix the problem free of charge.

This is the age of "you get nothing for free in this world" so being a little sceptical i rang my local Toyota dealer in Stafford which is W R Davies Ltd, and explained the problem, they said bring it in and we will rectify the problem, i left the car with them and went shopping, upon my return, they had not only fixed the lights, but done a full safety check and washed the car aswell.... top marks Toyota, its great to see some real customer service for a change, i know the cynical amongst us will say they do it to make a buck, well thats ok by me, i dont mind paying for good service, its when you pay and you dont get any service at all that gets me annoyed.......once again thanks Toyota , one satisfied customer..... :) :) :)

This problem appeared on my car as well, so I'm writing to others who are looking for the same solution in Norway. A got the same service as mentioned i the other post. Very happy customer:)

More info for people who would search the WWW and find this, as I searched a lot to find the solution...:

It's a Toyota Avensis 2003/2004 D-4D

It has xenon lights. And they where not god before, excellent now!

The car is an import from Germany, and I had never spoken with Toyota Norway before calling them for the lights.

The car had not yet reach 100 000 km.

The job was done in Toyota Hell Levanger - they got my recommendations from now!
