New Yaris

Hi,

My present car is a corolla and I am thinking of replacing it with a Yaris. I have looked at the TR 1.3 petrol, but am very disappointed with the quality when compared to other manufacturers.

Although it went well on a test drive, I thought the quality of the plastics inside was very cheap. Are all the Yaris models to the same spec. or is it just the TR ?

Toyota have also put the price up by £250 and lowered the spec. No front fog lights, trims at the door openings, but they have put a chrome trim on the bottom of the boot !!!!

Haven't been in a TR but have been in some variant of the new shape Yaris. I know what you mean about the plastics - very utilitarian, feels like a cheap Korean people carrier. Nasty plastics for the heater controls and the door pulls. Makes the black dash of the Phase 2 Yaris mk1 seem luxurious in comparison.

Seeing as you spend all that time inside a car it's important to pick one you like the interior of!
