Blown Head

conked out the other day and got recovered to the garage, just had the dreaded news the head has blown, can anybody give me a rough idea of how much it is going cost and how long it should take to do, i have a 92 2.4 turbo diesel surf

I ended up getting another de-registered Surf myself and getting the engine swapped. Now I have the advantage of a parts Surf too - good if you have the space! I think the Surf was about 9 hundy (~360GBP), but not really relevant with the different import taxes in NZ and year of Surf ('87/'88) - just another idea for you.

hi mine did the same got a bare head brand new off eBay that cost me £210 deliverd then i took head to a local engernerring firm they swopped cam and shimmed it up suplyed gasket set wich cost a further 220 so for everything got it repaired for just under £500 when built up whent out for a run n it still overheated this happened because heater matrix was leaking at the back off dash so next job working out how to do this one hope that my help
