If you want to beat a CTR then a good starting point is to get a CTR.

Yep

I think some people get a little carried away.

It’s always “if you get an induction kit and a customer exhaust you can beat a type-r”. With that principle I could say “an STi or M3 is faster than a CTS but if you spend a several thousand £’s you could make the CTS faster”.

Also I disagree with the people saying you get more for your money with the CTS. First off the CTR has a better residual value. It is barebone compared to the CTS but with it you get better tyres, alloys, breaks, gearbox, clutch, suspension.. therefore, you don’t get more for your money with a CTS. The Exige S has even less equipment than the CTR and it has the same engine as the CTS but with it you could buy 2 CTR’s and still have change left. You get what you pay for.

The CTR and CTS have the same concept engine wise but apart from that they are both unique.

the exige s is the supercharged matey hense same as the compressor, u can get the exige with our engine but u get less bhp than the exige s. was stood with a 07 plate one few months back, awesome cars. supercharger right behind your head, takes the air in off the roof scoop, bet it would sound amazing. one day one day :)
