:(Electric windows: I have just had to have a new Battery fitted to my 01 Avensis, and now the drivers window does not work in auto mode. Is this just a coincidence or a common problem?

This is common (I also had this problem). Unfortunately, I do not remember the sequence of actions required to fix it (it takes less than 60 seconds if you now the window reset sequence).

I think that the manual has the reset sequence. I think that personally, I pressed AND hold the window up button for a few seconds, then pressed AND hold the window down button for a few seconds, then pressed AND hold the window up button for a few seconds, then pressed AND hold the window down button for a few seconds. However, I cannot guarantee that this is the correct sequence of actions.
