Just Picked Up My First Cts

Hello to everyone!

Just picked up myself a 02 black cts. Have to say its the business, been looking for one for a while now. She's totally standard at the moment, have to get used to that engine first!

Just a quick question to start off.......i'm sure i'll have many over the next while. Do you see many engine covers on eBay or anywhere i can get one? The last one was apparently driven over while off .

Cograts on your purchase you'll enjoy every minute of it.

You dont need an engine cover, it just adds weight :P

A lads breaking a car on e bay at the moment. Item number 250211256545. He seams like a nice sort of fella and skipper215 from here bought his leather interior. I was talking to him tring to get a bit off him today. Ill tell you how i get on and if he's trust worthy. You would have to arrange carriage but interlink or such like,shouldnt be to expensive. Theres a post up here from ages ago bout a crowd called m and m auto salvage,they've got 2 cars but dont go near them. Found out bout them the hard way and so did someone else on here.

Not to many t sports about in Ireland yet,iv only seen one since i bought mine!

theres a black cts in Belfast! might be 2 in the next week or so.

looking at a silver 05 in the next few days. Getting the AA to give it a look over before i go. its a 12 hour drive one way so dont want to travel all that way for a dud.

I had a 1.4 E12 and liked it but very slow so on the natural step up the ladder B) will be my first private buy so its scary but cant wait.

Not many cts in Ireland but there are a few on www.carzone.ie

Not many in ireland due to the ease of importing from japan id say.

Thanks for the replies, i'd like to have an engine cover if i'm ever gonna sell her on, it looks a lot cleaner with it. No rush on getting one though, i'll drive her as she is. Getting four tyres for her today, there's more rubber on a johnny at the moment!!

At Hogie: Yeah, i've only seen two on the road in ireland so far. But i only heard of them about a year ago, so woulda just been another corolla to me... There's actually a lad driving an english reg silver one around the area i live. Let me know how your get on with that auction anyway. BTW, have you not seen that black cts on carzone from mayo on the roads?

Iv never seen that one from westport on the road,thats been for sale for god know how long,nothing seems to sell on that site although that car hasnt been updated in awhile,i think he could have been asking to much to start with. Most peole who know what the car is would nearly be prepared to go to the uk and import it. Thats what i did,my 03 cost 11k with all the tax paid and ferrys,think that was in may,cheapest 03 i could find over here was up on 14k with the usual no service history and prob has the a*se driven out of it.Saw a fella in Castlebar with a blue one,thats the only one iv seen between here and limerick which is where i spend most of the week. Iv seen couple of people with badges super glued to their car but can tell straight off that its a fake.

Ill let you know what this fella is like, prob be a couple of weeks cause ill have to send him a cheque and then get it collected.

Iv seen a blue prefacelift around ennis in clare a good bit when im around the place

Hey Tsporter. Im sure you will live the car. If you dont mind, how much did you pay for your 02 plate? and how many miles has it done? i have a 52 plate that has done 42000 miles and im not sure how much to put it up for. cheers for your help
