Most Reliable

:) As I was driving the Rav to work tonight I was thinking about all the cars I have owned over the 40 yrs I've been driving and which had been the most reliable. The first one I owned was a 1953 Ford Anglia followed by 52 Ford Consul and then numerous Renaults,Rovers and other Fords but by far the most reliable and liked was my Gen 6 Celica which I had for 7yrs. It never broke down and I only ever replaced tyres and brakes on it as far I know it still had its original exhaust system on it. I 'traded' it in last October for Gen 7 Celica Blue when it had 184000 on the clock. I've had the oil burning 5 door Rav since November so being a complete Toyota fan I hope the 2 do as well as my old Celica..

Happy Motoring :D

I bet it was a bitter-sweet experience when you said goodbye to your old Celica.

As Toyota is growing, I hope they can maintain that reliability - not always easy when your volumes rocket, but I'm sure they make every effort.

Happy Motoring Indeed. Long may it continue

i learnt to drive in my parents 1990? F reg Toyota Corolla 1.6GL Exec .. they bought it new and i bought it from them after passing, I certainly racked up the miles well in it. In the end i scrapped it when it had done 257'000 miles .. :) .. in all that time from new it had only needed a replacement exhaust and radiator (other than brake discs/pads) .. the engine was still going strong.. never broken down, original clutch, alternator.. everything. Was a sweet car, never worried.. just a shame the bodywork let it down with rust so just scrapped it about 4 yrs ago i think, but it was only a workhorse really (as i had a weekend car) so not looked after.

Cant fault Toyota for reliability hey!
