today i went round a small roundabout and i was pretty much going sideways i was only doing 20mph so i could control it fairly easily, but the thing is i never ever get vsc flash up at me (ive heard some ppl say it beeps at them) as i was sliding sideways im sure this would have been enough for my vsc to kick in. also i dont often get my traction control flash at me when my wheels spin, anyone got any info ?

what should flash up at you when vsc kicks in ?

what should flash up at you when traction control kicks in ?

im thinking maybe mine aint engaging :(

2 stages of VSC control

1st stage - light comes on - this means that VSC has taken control and corrected

2nd stage - light comes on and beeps - this means that VSC had tried but can't correct ie... you're on your own.

TSC

light comes on when traction control kicks in - no beep.

i can make the light come on fairly easily.

if the TSC light is on constant then either you have TSC OFF or there is a fault with it.

there is a VSC light on the dash.

it is to the right of the TSC light, not next to it, but the next one along.

i've had a load of trouble with my vsc & trc, been inot dealership about ten times as the lights keep coming on, aswell as the engine malfunction light (apparently theyre all linked together) last thing i had fitted was a new air pump n fuse, just waiting for something else to go now lol

Not exactly chenks,

The only light that flashes is the one of the car with skid marks in the top right.

It flashes when the TC cuts in.

It flashes and beeps when the VSC cuts in.

The car does not leave you 'on your own'. In my experence the only time TC cuts in is on full throttle lift in 1st and 2nd gear. The VSC is quite good is resolving oversteer but cant do much with understeer as if your plainly going to fast it cant defy physics.

ahhhh, ive had that picture of the car with skids marks come up loads of times, when setting off and the wheels are spining im guesing this is saying TC is kicking in.

and secondly ive had it when ive slid round a roundabout at low speed im guesing it was saying the VSC was kicking in but i didnt feel the car try to correct itself.

strange how the VSC and TC lights dont come on too

The light comes on when traction control is being operated the beep comes on when VSC is operating, the system is only an assist and the boundries can be exceeded!

Hi

Did you ever get to the bottom of the VSC TRC OFF lights coming on all the time. I've got the same problem with mine.

Thanks

THROW IT ROUND A CAR PARK AT TOP SPEED AND LET US KNOW WHICH LIGHTS APPEAR :)

THAT IS THE MOST CERTAIN WAY TO FIND OUT ALL IS IN ORDER AND WORKING

I have same problem with warning lights,

There is another forum discussing same, I tried to link to it but it did not work!

It is called the following:
