I have a yaris T-sport (02) and im just wondering what parts will be needed

in putting the celica 190hp engine in it? Is it a common conversion?

Will i need new engine mounts? driveshafts? gearlinkages? Hubs? etc etc

Any info much appreciated ;)

there were rumours of it being done but some say it was a photoshop and others say it can only be done on a LHD, but if you have the cash, time and knowledge anything is possible.

although if you need to ask what needs to be changed i assume that you arnt doing the job yourself? take it to some engine conversion specialists ad ask there. as far as i know it hasnt been proven to be done.

I do all mechanical and wiring jobs myself, the reason i was asking what i need is so i can collect all the parts before so i can get the job done quickly without having to search for parts and wait for them during the conversion.

It always pays to do the research first ;)

unknown territory, will have to be trial and error, you may have to cut away some of the chassis legs as engine and 6speed box are larger, also the exhaust manifold on the 190 engine is a long flat sweep back design to compensate for the low celica bonnet line ( the bonnet scoop on a celica was purely to cool the bulk head down) so the bulk head would need chopping away. the electrics would need major redesign due to different sensors, additional items on 190 engines and ecu located under bonnet, would be far easier to go down the turbo/supercharger NOX route.

good luck
